Our vibrant afterschool program, located at 6th & Lombard, offers a warm, welcoming space where Jewish children can learn, grow, and connect.
With our dynamic new curriculum, students enjoy a hands-on, engaging approach to Jewish education. They’ll learn to read and write Hebrew, deepen their understanding of Jewish holidays and traditions, and develop a strong sense of Jewish pride. Our program goes beyond the classroom with creative projects, music, games, and interactive experiences that make learning meaningful and fun.
CKids Philly emphasizes community, friendship, and personal growth. Through exploring Jewish values and participating in enriching activities, children build confidence, social skills, and a deep sense of belonging. We even offer daily school pickup and flexible scheduling options to make participation easy for families.

Monday – JewQ & Bar/Bat Mitzvah Foundations
Kick off the week with inspiration and purpose!
We’re proud to offer the internationally acclaimed JewQ curriculum, an exciting, age-appropriate way for kids to gain core Jewish knowledge—including mitzvot, holidays, Jewish values, and more.
This program is also the official launch of our Bar and Bat Mitzvah prep track, helping students build the foundation for this important milestone in a fun, engaging way.
Tuesday – Gymnastics & Hebrew Boost
Move, stretch, and learn!
A dynamic afternoon featuring professional gymnastics instruction—plus bonus time for building Hebrew reading fluency. The perfect mix of active play and meaningful learning.

Thursday – Craft Corner & Jewish History

Kids will explore Jewish history through engaging stories and discussion, then bring it to life with exciting art and craft projects that let their imagination soar.

Teaching children daily mitzvot is a meaningful way to instill the Jewish values of kindness, responsibility, and spiritual awareness in their lives. By incorporating simple yet impactful mitzvot—such as davening, giving tzedakah, showing respect to parents and teachers, and expressing gratitude—the children develop a deep connection to their Judaism and community. Making these mitzvot part of their daily routine helps them understand that even small actions can bring holiness into the world.
We bring the joy and meaning of every major Jewish holiday into our curriculum, making each celebration a hands-on and memorable experience for our students. Through interactive lessons, creative activities, and engaging stories, children learn the traditions, values, and deeper messages of each holiday.
Aleph Champ uses a color-coded system to track and reward progress as the children master Hebrew letters, sounds, and words at their own pace. They can challenge themselves while celebrating each milestone and fostering a sense of achievement and excitement!
Before we leave, we gather in the shul to daven together, bringing a meaningful close to their time of learning. As the children recite the prayers, their voices blend in a familiar rhythm, creating a sense of connection to tradition and to one another. Whether saying Shema, singing a melody, or reflecting quietly, this moment allows them to wind down and end the day with purpose.
